What is the smallest size text can be embroidered?

We recommend a minimum height of 5.5mm for embroidered text.

We recommend that the minimum height for embroidered text should be no smaller than 5.5mm to ensure legibility. Even at this size, some lettering may need to be adjusted slightly to achieve a neat embroidered finish.

In certain cases, it may be necessary to alter the proportions of a logo by increasing the height of the lettering to a minimum of 5.5mm and reducing the spacing between letters. Additionally, when space is limited, it might be necessary to increase the height of the letters while reducing their width to fit within the available area. It is also advisable to open up the insides of letters like 'a' and 'e' to prevent the stitches from closing in.

Many companies design their corporate logos without considering their appearance on apparel or merchandise. We encounter this frequently; clients often have logos with very small lettering. Reproducing small lettering through embroidery can be quite challenging.
